Development planning

Development plans are at the heart of planning activity. The ongoing planning reforms in the UK and Ireland and the subsequent raft of supporting guidance has resulted in significant changes to the development planning system. This is an extremely exciting and challenging time for development planners. The new systems introduce changes in the way that planning is to be carried out. These changes enable plans to be more effective, and for spatial planning to be the inclusive process that will inspire confidence and focus the activities of the many players involved in the planning system.
