Understanding the design appraisal process

16 July 2008

The complexity of many projects now demands a range of skills. Whether for town centres or urban extensions, design quality has to be matched by financial viability. Delivering quality in different development contexts is critical if we are to meet the Government’s advice on creating sustainable communities. Making decisions on how we design, deliver, and control such complicated developments requires greater understanding of the process. This conference would bring together practitioners and representatives from Councils to give different aspects of the challenge.
